Parents Support Group

The JNY Parent Support Group (PSG) is an organisation staffed solely by parents and guardians of students at JNY, whose aim is to build a strong sense of community, responsibility and ownership towards the education of the children, each other, and the school.

The group is autonomous but works with the JNY Principals and the other school leaders to ensure that decisions made have the full backing of the school.

The primary role of the PSG is to develop networks and partnerships amongst the JNY community, as well as to identify areas where non-academic or enhanced learning can be reinforced through community or external, specialist knowledge. The PSG will also run workshops and training for parents and teachers at JNY in areas of special interest where in school knowledge is limited.

The secondary role is to assist in building a positive and engaged atmosphere amongst all of the JNY community, building relationships amongst parents, teachers, staff and students.

If you would like to be a part of the PSG, or would just like more information, please speak to one of the members or through our contact form from our website or messaging features from our social media.
