Curriculum

We implement the Cambridge IGCSE Curriculum from Secondary 1 to Secondary 4 using English as the main language for instruction in most of the subjects and co-curricular activities; classes for Chinese Language and Culture, and Bahasa Indonesia are provided at various levels to suit students’ language competency.

We also use KTSP (K13) National Curriculum for Bahasa Indonesia, Religion and PPKN.

Student Development Programmes

Physical & Recreational Development

Students are encouraged to develop a healthy body and a responsive mind through active participation in sports and games for recreation, specialisation or as a life-long hobby. The school provides modern sports facilities and engages qualified instructors to train students in various sports and games: Badminton, Basketball, Soccer, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis and Track & Field.

Aesthetic Development

We implement a comprehensive programme to motivate students to acquire essential life skills through participation and training in curricular and co-curricular activities such as Art & Design, Dance (Chinese/Indonesian/Western), Photography, Choir, Chinese Calligraphy and Chess. Competitions and concert performances are held to provide opportunities for students to unleash their talents.

Character Development

Every student is groomed to be a responsible individual who is proud of his/her integrity, appreciates teamwork and contributes to society. The school implements a holistic character development programme catering for the social-emotional needs of students, with emphasis on moral education and the practise of eastern values. We inculcate in them team spirit and social awareness through field trips, training camps, expedition camps, charity drives and community service projects.

Technology & Talent Development

Students who are interested or talented in various fields of specialisation (such as creative writing, mathematics, science, robotics, computing & web design, multimedia, innovation projects, sports and games) will attend special trainings conducted by Specialist Trainers.

Those with aptitude take part in international competitions such as Singapore Mathematics Olympiad, Australia Mathematics/Science Competition, America Mathematics Competition and Commonwealth Essay Competition.

Students are encouraged to take part in inter-school/national competitions or tournaments organised for Art & Design, Chess, Essay Writing, Photography, Robotics, Music, Dance, Drama, Badminton, Basketball, Soccer, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis and other sports events.

Teaching Faculty

Well-qualified and experienced expatriate and local teachers facilitate and coach students to acquire desired 21st century knowledge and skills by applying modern pedagogies integrating good practices from the East and the West. For graduating students, we deploy the most well-qualified and experienced expatriate teachers to teach and train students for the Cambridge International GCSE and AS & A Level Examinations. Teachers will facilitate and guide students to apply higher-order thinking skills to innovate and find alternative solutions to different problem-solving tasks.

Timely Feedback

Progress reports are issued to parents termly during the Students’ Performance Conference to keep parents informed of their children's learning progress and performance. Parents' feedback and constructive suggestions are valued to enhance home-school partnership in the education of our students.
